Where EasyPrompter stands out
- Start without an account. The whole prompter works the moment the page opens: speed from 40 to 320 words per minute, six typefaces, custom colors, a movable reading line, countdown and loop. The free teleprompter holds one script at a time and doesn't save it; Pro saves and syncs your scripts. See accounts and saving.
- Mirror and flip, free. Mirror left/right and flip upside down are built in for beam-splitter glass. The mirror mode guide explains when to use each.
- Eye contact under the camera, free. Eye contact shows only the two lines you're reading, in a narrow island right under the camera, on the web, iPhone, iPad and Mac. With Pro you can record the take while you read. See eye contact and recording.
- Keyboard and clicker control. Space plays and pauses, the up and down arrows change speed, Page Up/Page Down jump a screen. Most presentation clickers work without setup. See the remote control section.
- An AI script writer. EasyPrompter Pro includes an AI script writer that drafts scripts of 30 seconds to 5 minutes at your reading speed, in seven languages, with a choice of tone and format. Speakflow's pricing page does not list AI script writing.
- A lower paid price. EasyPrompter Pro costs less per month and per year than Speakflow Plus, with VAT included in the price shown.
Where Speakflow is stronger
- Voice scrolling. Speakflow's Flow feature follows your voice: limited on the free plan, unlimited on Plus. EasyPrompter has no voice scrolling; it scrolls at the speed you set.
- Overlay for video calls. Speakflow Plus includes an overlay (a virtual teleprompter) for use during video calls. EasyPrompter's Mac app has an eye contact island under the notch that stays above every app, but in the browser EasyPrompter has no overlay.
- Recording. Plus lets you record and store video. EasyPrompter Pro records while you read too, but stores nothing online: each take stays on your device until you save, share or download it.
- Collaboration and teams. Plus adds real-time script collaboration and commenting, and Studio adds client workspaces and team members. EasyPrompter is built for individual use.
- Native apps. Speakflow lists apps for Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad. EasyPrompter has free apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and no Windows app: on Windows it runs in the browser.
- Short-term access. Speakflow also lists a Plus Pass for a fixed number of days, handy for a one-off project.

Speakflow Plus is listed at $19/month, or $15/month billed yearly ($180 a year), in US dollars. Its Studio plan for teams costs more. Exchange rates and taxes vary, but roughly speaking EasyPrompter Pro costs noticeably less per year than Speakflow Plus. Keep in mind that Speakflow Plus includes voice scrolling and collaboration, which EasyPrompter does not offer, so the better value depends on which features you will use.

Is EasyPrompter free?
Yes. The full teleprompter is free with no account, including mirror mode, all display settings and remote control. Pro saves your scripts, syncs them across devices and lets you install the app, and it includes the AI script writer.
Does EasyPrompter have voice scrolling like Speakflow?
No. EasyPrompter scrolls at a fixed speed you choose, between 40 and 320 words per minute. You can pause, change speed or go back a paragraph with the keyboard or a Bluetooth clicker. If voice scrolling is a must, Speakflow is the better choice.
Can I import my scripts from Speakflow?
Copy and paste works best: copy the script text and paste it into the EasyPrompter editor. With Pro, you can keep as many scripts as you like, switch between them with the arrows at the top and have them saved.
Can I use EasyPrompter during a video call?
Yes. In the Mac app, turn on Eye contact: the lines you're reading sit in a small island under the notch, above Zoom, Teams or Meet. The app asks macOS to keep the island out of screen sharing; where macOS allows it, people on the call don't see it, so check once with a test share.
