Your iPhone is the lightest teleprompter you own. Hold it just below the lens for a talking-head video, or lay it in a beam-splitter rig and turn on mirror mode.

  • Mirror and flip for teleprompter glass, in portrait or landscape.
  • Six reading fonts, including Atkinson Hyperlegible, any text and background color, capitals, line spacing and side margins.
  • Move the reading line up the screen so your eyes stay near the lens.
  • Keyboards and Bluetooth page turners: space plays and pauses, arrows change the speed and jump between paragraphs.

Press Start camera next to Start: the front camera turns on and the lines you’re reading move right under the lens, so you look into the camera while you read.

Press the red Record button: after the countdown, the recording and the scrolling start together. The script stays out of the video, and you save the take to Photos or share it.

Your iPhone is the remote

Run the prompter on an iPad, a Mac or a computer from behind the camera, while the person in front of the lens just talks.

  • Play, pause, speed, text size, loop and paragraph jumps, with the time left.
  • Touchpad mode: swipe up for faster, down for slower, sideways for paragraphs, tap to pause.
  • Fix a word on the iPhone and press Save & sync: the prompter keeps its place.
  • It works the other way round too: your Mac or iPad drives the iPhone on the rig.
  • No iPhone to spare? Any phone can scan the prompter’s QR code and steer it, with no app.

Is there a free teleprompter app for iPhone?

Yes. EasyPrompter is free to download from the App Store, and the full teleprompter is free, with no account: every speed, font, color and mirror setting, the countdown, loop, Bluetooth page turners and an external display. The free app holds one script at a time and forgets it when the app closes. Pro saves your scripts and adds the editor, the AI writer, remote control and practice links.

Can I record video with the iPhone camera while the script scrolls?

Yes, with Pro. Press Start camera: the front camera turns on and the lines you’re reading sit in a narrow island under the Dynamic Island, right by the lens. Does my iPhone work as a remote for the teleprompter?

Yes, with Pro. Signed in on both, your iPhone controls the prompter on your iPad, Mac or a computer’s browser: play, pause, speed, text size, paragraphs, a touchpad mode, and edits that you send with Save & sync. Any other phone can also steer a prompter by scanning its QR code, with no app.

Can I use the iPhone app with a teleprompter rig or beam splitter?

Yes. Turn the iPhone on its side, switch on Mirror (left ↔ right) and, if your rig needs it, Flip (upside down). Use a Bluetooth page turner, or your iPad or Mac as the remote, so you never touch the glass. How mirror mode works.

If I buy Pro on my iPhone, does it work on my iPad, Mac and the web?

Yes. Pro belongs to your EasyPrompter account. Buy it in the app with your Apple ID, sign in with the same account on your iPad, your Mac or studio.easyprompter.app, and Pro is there. If you already pay for Pro on the web, just sign in on the iPhone.

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone with iOS 17 or later. The app is in English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch, and the AI writes scripts in seven languages.

Does the app track me?

No. The iPhone app has no analytics and no ads. Without Pro, your script stays on the iPhone. With Pro, your scripts are stored in your account so they sync to your other devices. See the privacy policy.
