The teleprompter app for iPad
A big, bright prompter for rigs and lecterns, and a real workspace for the scripts behind it. Your library in a sidebar, the tools beside the editor, keyboard shortcuts and a second screen. Synced with your iPhone, Mac and the web.
- Free download
- iPadOS 17 or later
- One app for iPhone, iPad and Mac
Your scripts in the sidebar, the editor in the middle and every tool beside it. Drag scripts to set the running order.
The prompter, full screen, with the controls at your fingertips. Tap to pause, swipe to move the text.
Remote control opens beside the editor: change the words and drive the iPhone on the rig at the same time.
Describe the video and let AI write a first draft, sized to your reading speed.
Share a practice link so your speaker rehearses on the shoot screen before the day.
00:05 The workspace
Everything for the shoot on one screen
In landscape, EasyPrompter on iPad lays out like a studio desk: what you’ll read, what you’re writing, and the buttons to run it.
Scripts in a sidebar Pro
Search your library, open a script with one tap and drag scripts into your running order. The prompter’s next and previous buttons follow it, so a whole event runs in sequence.
Tools beside the editor
Start prompter, Preview, the reading time at your speed, Write with AI, Remote control and Share for practice stay in a column next to your words.
Adjust with AI Pro
Select the script and ask for it shorter, warmer, simpler or in another language. Your bold, colors and lists are kept.

00:10 On a rig or a lectern
The screen size teleprompter rigs were made for
Most tablet rigs are built around an iPad. Put it under the glass, mirror the text and read big, steady lines from across the room. On a lectern, it keeps a speech or a sermon word-perfect.
- Mirror and flip for beam-splitter glass, in portrait or landscape.
- Text up to the size you need, six reading fonts, any color and side margins to keep lines short.
- Bluetooth page turners and foot pedals play, pause and jump paragraphs.
- Loop for rehearsals, a 3·2·1 countdown for takes, and the screen stays awake.
Remote control Pro
Edit and drive at the same time
On iPad, Remote control opens as a panel beside the editor, as it does on a computer. Fix a line, press Save & sync, and the iPhone on the rig shows the new words without losing its place.
00:30 External display
The iPad runs the show. The monitor shows the words.
Plug in a monitor or a rig’s screen with USB-C or HDMI, or use AirPlay. The prompter fills that screen at its own size, and the iPad becomes the control panel.
- What’s on the reading line, the progress and the time left, at a glance.
- Play, pause, speed, text size and mirror from the iPad.
- Free, no Pro needed.

Made for the Magic Keyboard
The commands are in the iPadOS menu bar and show up when you hold ⌘. In the prompter, the same keys work as on the web, so a Bluetooth page turner does too.

Questions about the iPad teleprompter app
What is the best teleprompter app for iPad?
The one that fits how you film. EasyPrompter is free to download, with the full prompter, mirror mode, Bluetooth page turners and an external display at no cost. On iPad it adds a real workspace: scripts in a sidebar, tools beside the editor and keyboard shortcuts. Pro syncs your scripts with iPhone, Mac and the web and adds an AI writer, remote control and practice links.
Can I use my iPad on a teleprompter rig?
Yes. Most rigs for tablets hold an iPad under beam-splitter glass. Turn on Mirror (left ↔ right), and Flip if the rig needs it, then make the text big. Drive it with a Bluetooth page turner, or with your iPhone or Mac as the remote, so you never reach under the glass.
Can I connect my iPad to a monitor and use it as the teleprompter screen?
Yes. With a USB-C or HDMI adapter, or AirPlay to an Apple TV or a Mac, the prompter runs full screen on the other display at its own size, and the iPad becomes its control panel with what’s on the reading line, the progress and the time left. That part is free.
Does it work with the Magic Keyboard and Stage Manager?
Yes. The editor commands are in the menu bar on iPadOS, and holding ⌘ shows them. In the prompter, space, the arrows, Page Up and Page Down, M, L, plus and minus and Esc work as on the web. In a narrow Stage Manager or Split View window, the app switches to its compact iPhone layout.
Can I control the prompter on my iPad from my iPhone?
Yes, with Pro. Sign in on both and open Remote control on the iPhone: play, pause, speed, text size, paragraphs and a touchpad mode. Or the other way round: the iPad drives a phone on the rig, with the remote as a panel beside the editor. Any phone can also scan the iPad’s QR code and steer it without the app.
Do I pay again for the iPad if I have Pro on my iPhone?
No. It’s one app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and Pro belongs to your EasyPrompter account. Sign in with the same account and Pro is there, on the web too.
Which iPads are supported?
Any iPad with iPadOS 17 or later.
